How does today’s digital transformation shape the way children experience information?
To answer this question, the Philippines Communication Society (PCS), in partnership with Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ), and the Council for the Welfare of Children, launches the national webinar series titled “Ang Bata sa Lente ng Pananaliksik at Midya” on August 5, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM via Zoom.
The inaugural webinar brings together communication scholars, journalists, broadcasters, researchers, policymakers, and child advocates to promote evidence-based, child-sensitive communication and ethical journalism. It focuses on reporting involving children who are victim-survivors, witnesses, and children in conflict with the law, grounded in national research and child protection policies.
This webinar also marks the beginning of a three-part series culminating in the National Policy Forum on Children and the Digital Society in February 2027, which will explore children’s issues through the lenses of research and media.
